NightAnchor is provided by ThaksTech ("we", "us"). NightAnchor is built so that your data stays with you.
Your shift roster, sleep profile (chronotype, sleep need, melatonin preference), and nudge settings are stored only on your device. NightAnchor has no accounts, no cloud sync, and no server of ours that receives your data. Android's backup service is disabled for this app, so your data is not copied to Google backups.
We do not sell or share your personal data. NightAnchor has no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no accounts. Your roster, profile, and plans are never transmitted anywhere. In this version the app does not process payments and does not send crash reports.
If you use "Snap a photo" to import a roster, the photo is processed entirely on your device by Google's ML Kit text-recognition library, then discarded. Photos and the recognized text are never uploaded or saved by NightAnchor. Like most Google SDKs, ML Kit may send technical diagnostics about the SDK itself — its performance and usage, not your photos or roster — to Google via Google Play services; this can happen whether or not you use photo import, and is governed by Google's privacy policy.
If the photo you import is a team duty sheet, it may show other people's names and staff numbers. NightAnchor asks you to pick your own row and saves only that row to your device. Everything else the photo contained is never uploaded and never stored with your roster; it is held only briefly on your device during the import and cleared when you next open the import flow.
If you enable nudges, NightAnchor schedules reminders locally on your device. Notification content is generated on-device from your roster and is not sent anywhere.
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes everything NightAnchor stored on your device. Because nothing is stored off-device, there is no server copy to delete.
NightAnchor provides educational guidance about sleep and circadian timing. It is not medical advice, and it is not a medical device. Ask your clinician what's right for you.
NightAnchor is intended for working adults (healthcare shift workers) and is not directed to children.
If a future version adds services that process data off-device (for example, subscriptions or crash reporting), this policy will be updated first, and the in-app Data Safety disclosure will be updated to match before that version ships.
